Vinifikation The Estate Blend is Rust en Vrede's emblematic wine. The blend is made up of the proportions of the varieties planted at Rust en Vrede, making it the most honest reflection of our terroir. The grapes for this wine come from a 22-hectare Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard, a 7-hectare Syrah vineyard, and a 1-hectare Merlot vineyard, thus reflecting the estate's plantings. The Estate was aged for 22 months in French oak barrels, 40% of which were new wood.
