Vinifikation Malgas is not exactly around the corner, hence the name of the wine. Two plots on the Sijnn estate along the Breede River owned by David Trafford. The terroir is incredible, river pebbles on shale. You get the impression that there is no soil, just a crunchy rocky walk through the Syrah and Touriga bush vines. Perfect grapes were spontaneously fermented in open fermenters, with 10% of the Syrah grapes left as whole bunches. The fermented grapes were pressed in a basket press and matured in old 500-liter French oak barrels for 10 months.
