Vinifikation The Vrede Chardonnay - or Peace Chardonnay - comes from a northeast-facing slope in the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley with stony, clay-rich Bokkeveld shale soils that have low moisture content. The wine matured for 8 months in 30% new French oak barrels.
