Product Description:
The 2015 Merlot Reserve is the second Merlot produced in collaboration with Pomerol master Michel Rolland. The wine drinks very well in its youth and will certainly improve over the next decade and beyond, depending on storage conditions. Ripe plum color with a ruby rim. The nose shows aromas of ripe fruit, black cherry, plum, spices, and a hint of chocolate. The ripeness of the fruit is balanced by fresh fruit acidity with soft wood and fruit tannins. The finish is long and persistent.

Vinifikation The grapes were picked at their optimal physiological ripeness to avoid the need for acidification and to prevent the extraction of harsh tannins. The harvest took place from February 23 to March 3, 2015. Fermentation occurred at a constant temperature of 25°C. The young wine was macerated on the skins for a further 7 weeks before pressing. Malolactic fermentation was initiated in stainless steel tanks, followed by 16 months of aging in 225-liter French oak barrels before being bottled on January 18, 2017.
