What a Team

What a Party

If you are reading this post, then we regret to inform you that today, as a customer, you are not our top priority. Because once a year, we have to pat our KapWeine employees and Cape Angels on the back and say thank you. Because those who work so hard at KapWeine also deserve to enjoy it for once! And we did this in South African style, for two consecutive days!

KapWeine Team Event

June 30, 2022

On Thursday evening, right after work, the 9-member KapWeine team visited Alex Lake Side in Thalwil for an extravagant summer dinner at Aqua, with Chef Michael Schuler. They brought along a few South African wines, which had been previously paired with the 6-course menu. From a huge aperitif with French oysters, beef tartare, and blinis with salmon, it went on to extravagant menus such as char, veal cheek, Balfego tuna, summer deer, and sweet dessert with strawberries and rhubarb. Of course, let's not forget that we are talking about fine dining here, and every plate was a work of art! And as it happens with a company that deals with wine, we also had to indulge in some good wines from France and Italy, which were directly compared with the South Africans. Well, the conclusion: South Africa is always top and to our taste, but others also convinced us. The evening was a success, the atmosphere joyful, the food a feast, and the short night definitely too short. You can see more about this in the following picture gallery!

Cape Angel Event

July 1, 2022

What was already extravagant for the KapWeine Team Event was once again implemented on Friday. Because our diligent Cape Angels, who assist us at our events and sometimes during the week, were honored with their own party! With about 40 people on the Sunset Lounge of Johannisburg (caution, not to be confused with the city in South Africa, despite the backdrop), we toasted with South African wine from the Swartland. Chef Daniel Knobel conjured up tapas like Vitello Tonnato, tuna on wakame seaweed, curry soup with prawns, crayfish on champagne risotto, and much more. Also present was Andy Zimmermann, who shared his joy in our great and helpful Cape Angels. With music and an ultimate red sunset, we all celebrated into the night, and some until the morning. Who shouldn't be allowed to, if one can! You can find more about the event in the picture gallery!

Thanks to our boss Andy Zimmermann, the KapWeine Team and the Cape Angels! It was great to toast with you and enjoy the evening! A toast to South Africa!
