Join us for an unforgettable classical evening. Because where South African wine culinary meets classical music, pianist, conductor and long-time friend Daniel Moos plays. We invite you to the 1st prize winners’ concert at Rapperswil Castle. Afterwards, join us for a South African aperitif in a chivalrous atmosphere.

After 2 years of «silence in the music business», we are delighted to be able to offer you this exceptional evening at Rapperswil Castle free entry. Before the castle closes its doors at the end of June until mid-2024, this is likely to be the last musical treat at the castle.

Daniel Moos, piano & moderator presents the 1st prize winners concert at Rapperswil Castle – the rarity of exclusively young first prize winners! – The variable ensemble «theXcellos» won the 1st prize at the Swiss Youth Music Competition in 2018 & 2019!

The ensemble was prepared for the competitions by Claude Hauri, cello. Claude Hauri is himself successfully engaged as a soloist and artistic director of various concert series.

Milo Hauri-Ferrazzini, cello won the 1st prize as a soloist at the Swiss Youth Music Competition twice. He has won the first prize as a soloist at the Swiss Youth Music Competition twice and has already played several times as a soloist with an orchestra.

A young star on the violin is Veronika Miecznikowski, also a multiple 1st prize winner. Matilde Agosti won first prizes at a very young age and played with orchestra.

An extraordinary and varied programme is filled with classical music highlights: the virtuoso sonata by N.Paganini, meditation «Thais» by J.Massenet, Hungarian dances by J.Brahms, the well-known “Czardas” by V.Monti to Beethoven’s finale “Freude schöner Götterfunken” from the 9th Symphony.
