From August 28th to 30th, 2025, Zurich and Wädenswil were once again transformed into a paradise for wine lovers. The South Africa Days 2025 attracted around 2000 guests and offered three days full of enjoyment, zest for life and unforgettable encounters.
An exclusive kick-off in Zurich's Seefeld district
The pre-opening on Thursday, August 28th, at the Tasting Room in Zurich's Seefeld district marked the start of the event. Over 250 guests not only celebrated the Tasting Room's first anniversary but also enjoyed an exclusive wine tasting. Fine South African wines were sampled in a stylish and artistic setting, accompanied by stimulating conversations and a festive atmosphere.
The big party in Wädenswil
On Friday and Saturday, Wädenswil was entirely dedicated to South Africa. Around the Kapweine locations, visitors experienced a varied program with wine, culinary delights, music, and good spirits. The new shuttle service provided a particularly stylish way to arrive: in cooperation with Porsche Zentrum Oberer Zürichsee, guests were picked up directly at Wädenswil train station and driven to Kapweine in brand new Porsche vehicles. Over 700 trips were counted, and the service proved to be very popular.
Pure indulgence – from wine to braai
In total, over 1500 bottles of wine were opened for tasting during the three days. From exquisite classics to exciting new arrivals, there was something for every taste. More than 2000 orders were processed at the grill, with culinary options ranging from tender zebra steaks, ostrich fillets, and rock lobsters to an aromatic chickpea stew for vegetarian fans. Guests were delighted by the diversity and authenticity of South African cuisine.

A special highlight was the participation of the new main partner Dreamtime Travel, who captivated visitors with exciting insights and inspirations about travel to Southern Africa. Other partners such as Ethiopian Airlines, Rhulani Safari Lodge, RE/MAX Living, Shoho-Art, Biltong House, Brinergarten, Grand Golf Tour of South Africa, and Jedlitschka Gallery also contributed to a diverse experience with their commitment.
A big thank you also goes to the Porsche Zentrum Oberer Zürichsee, whose shuttle service generated much discussion and many happy faces.

Perfect weather, perfect atmosphere
Despite the forecast rain, the weather played along, providing the South Africa Days 2025 with sunny hours and mild summer evenings. Under the open sky, people celebrated, tasted, laughed and danced, an event that once again proved how strong the enthusiasm for South African wines and culture is in Switzerland.
Anticipation for 2026
Following this great success, anticipation for the next edition is already building. The South Africa Days have firmly established themselves in the event calendar and promise top-level enjoyment again in 2026.
