The Bouchard Finlayson Blanc de Mer exudes a wealth of floral aromas, followed by palate-pleasing notes of delicate nectarines, dried apricots, and jasmine blossoms. On the palate, it is full-bodied, fresh, and vibrant, with convincing Riesling strength and nuances of figs, pineapple, and fragrant quince on the finish. A true "cool climate" wine with lively acidity and a delicate saline touch.

Vinifikation While the estate-grown Riesling forms the backbone of this unique assemblage, Viognier from various vineyards in the Overberg, Stellenbosch, and even the upper Hemel-en-Aarde Valley has contributed over the years. An older vineyard in Elgin, with a significant granite soil component, currently delivers consistent results. All grapes are destemmed before pressing and fermented in a cool, un-oaked environment. Sauvignon Blanc returns to the blend, primarily for aromatic complexity and palate refreshment.
