Ruby red with a bouquet of hibiscus, crème de cassis, red berries, and blueberries, spiced with white pepper. There are also fresh herbs: bay leaf and sage, which transition into the scent of fresh rain. The spicy and silky aroma of the Shiraz varietal unfolds on the palate into an opulent taste of plum pudding with cloves, purple forest berries, and a structured Cabernet framework. Super juicy and loaded. Paper-fine tannins glide over a lemony, zesty acidity in the finish, which is equally bright and appealingly dry. Excellent drinkability, without sacrificing concentration.

Vinifikation The Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec grape varieties originate from selected vineyard parcels on the Helderberg in the Stellenbosch appellation. The soils typical for the Helderberg provide a rich mid-palate weight and give the wine exceptional depth and fruitiness. The altitude of around 250 meters above sea level and the cooling influence of the Atlantic Ocean, only 15 kilometers away, extend the ripening period by up to 3 weeks, leading to beautiful phenolic ripeness.
