Wineries:
Darling belongs to the Swartland region but has recently become its own, distinct district and differs considerably from it in climatic terms. The region benefits from its immediate proximity to the cooling Atlantic. This has a positive effect on the cultivation of somewhat more sensitive grape varieties. Darling is therefore known not only for its fruity red wines but also for its delicate and fruity Sauvignon Blanc.
Rainfall is a sufficient 300 to 400mm per year.
